Formerly a grim granite quarry, Halibut Point has been transformed into a lovely seaside recreation area with hiking trails, tidepools, picnic sites, and sweeping viewpoints. A helpful visitors center resides in a renovated World War II fire control tower, offering exhibits on the park's history, as well as a stunning view of the coast. It lies in Cape Ann, next to Quarry Lake.
